Last year while working on the 2015 goals for LoveyLoaves Rescue, I felt led to approach our local schools to see if I could talk to children about specially-abled dogs and how meaningful and enriching their lives can be. Our children are such an important part of our community, but they often get overlooked because, well... they are children. The idea of speaking in schools has been a difficult one for me because I don’t generally bond with children. I had been procrastinating with the follow through of this because of my hang-up, and I basically dropped the ball. Well, apparently God felt that I needed a pretty big push. In January, I was contacted by Legacy Middle School and was asked to come share some insight into LoveyLoaves with their students.
